So you know how to workout but you don’t want a personal trainer to stand by your side and count to ten for you…Right?? Plus the cost of a one-on one-personal training session can get expensive and add up quickly. That is where PureGainsFitness online training and coaching comes into play. We first start off with having you complete a questionnaire going over your short and long-term goals, current workouts, nutrition habits, and supplements.

From there we decide how best to reach your goals. Your workout program will be custom to those goals and periodized using advanced training theories. We are not talking about “bro chest Monday, let’s do 4 sets of 10 man” or “15 minute ab circuit to burn fat”.  Your program will have structure and will build upon the previous training block(s) leading to continued gains.

Cardio:

Cardio is used as tool to aid in both health benefits and creation of a caloric deficit. Many will argue over doing High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and Low Intensity Steady State Cardio (LISS).  For P.G.F. cardio is dependent on the goals of the individual and both methods are used. Often a Heart Rate or Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE scale) is used when providing cardio programming.

Nutrition:

Based on your current nutrition habits, body type, lean muscle mass, and physical activity levels, your nutrition values will be determined and you will be provided with total Caloric and Macro-nutrient goals to reach each day.  For example: male client X has a goal to lose weight by a given date, his macros are determined to be 170 grams of protein, 200 grams of carbohydrates, and 45 grams of fat. He then uses a tracking app (myfitnesspal) to track his total caloric and macro nutrient totals for the day.  Macros will only be manipulated when the Coach sees that a change is needed based on the client’s weight change, mood, and gym performance.

Updates:

Clients provide weekly updates with food/macro logs, morning weight logs and average weekly weight, workout logs with weights, sets, and reps performed along with how they felt during and about their workout (this is important in correlating gym performance with macro intake). After the client’s update is reviewed they will then receive feedback from the coach along with any changes that may need to be made. At the very least (usually bi-weekly) the coach will send a video log update detailing the changes needed. This process allows for a more thorough update for the coach to give the client, and builds a better bond then simply reading an email.
